Containment Facility

The National Forestry Herbarium is a PC 1 Containment Facility, Reference Number 2746.

The Facility Operator is Margaret Dick.

The containment is required for importation of herbarium specimens that represent new organisms, together with inseparable organisms or substrate as defined by HSNO (Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act 1996), and for returning New Zealand specimens that have been overseas on loan.

The facility operates under the PC 1 Requirements for Containment Facilities to comply with MAF Standard 155.04.09 and to meet the requirements of ERMA Approval NOC04018.
